Clay Sikes and Bill Nutting head the development team at Spring Tide Communities, LLC. Their 50 plus years of combined experience in developing Georgia's beautiful coast make them the longest standing, most experienced development group on the coast proper. Only the Jones family of Sea Island can boast more cumulative years as a development entity. Their vast knowledge of the Georgia coastal region is exceeded only by their fervent love of the area. As youngsters, both men relished the 'way of life' offered by the niche rural coastal areas south of Savannah and north of Jacksonville. Both, as young men, determined that this enchanting, stimulating, and entertaining rural coastal lifestyle would be 'home.' Enchanted by its beauty, stimulated by its opportunity, and entertained by all it offers, they both dreamed of the chance to share this unique 'lifestyle' with others. Peninsula has afforded them just such an occasion!

Clay grew up in Liberty County on one of the few true low country river plantations on the Georgia Coast. The vision for Peninsula spawned from what he experienced as a boy - living on and inviting others to share the experience of coastal living. He saw Peninsula as having many of the same indigenous features of his boyhood home - a rich history, miles of coastal marshes, rivers and creeks, giant oaks, coastal palms and cedars, gentle ocean breezes, fresh water lagoons, ponds, and lakes, winding animal made paths and trails, open flowing meadows and fields, and spectacular sunrises and sunsets - a rural plantation setting in a coastal environment.

Clay and Bill feel that most who visit Peninsula will connect to its extraordinary natural beauty - tantalizing and enticing visitors to a deeper more intimate level of interest. Knowing more about this true peninsula of land is to simply 'experience' what Peninsula has to offer. The 'experiential' connect - a bottle of wine at sunset, boating, fishing, shrimping, shell fish gathering, visiting nearby beaches, barrier islands, and seafood restaurants is without equal in our coastal area. Thirteen miles of marsh, creek, and river frontage provide a varietal playground for the adventurous, and a canvas for photographers and artist alike. The Peninsula experience is indeed a recreational arena for all ages, yet we would be amiss if we didn't mention another aspect of its character - the sound! If you have never heard a coastal breeze rattle a palm, or gently whisper through a moss draped oak, or heard the settling of marsh hens at the end of a long day, then you are in for a rare treat. Peninsula has a sound, and its quiet and natural setting reflects an audible peace seldom heard. We invite you to the sights, sounds, and experiences that Clay and Bill grew up with.
